A lover of discipline and process, I find joy (through creativity and strategic thinking) in helping others find and implement the right solution in their personal and professional trials and tribulations. With an eye for detail and a love of learning about those I work with, around, and for, I strive for excellence in all I do and am driven to use my knowledge and skills to help others achieve their goals; always with the intention of leaving the world “better than I found it.”

Alexandria (Alex) Szocs is the Manager, Organizational Effectiveness & Operations Special Projects for The Kaleidoscope Group (KG), a full-service diversity and inclusion consulting firm dedicated to unlocking the human potential. She is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day relationships between clients and the firm. As a Client Services Manager, Alex manages the coordination and project management aspects of KG’s client work. Alex’s goal is to ensure that every client she works with receives high-quality client service throughout their relationship with the firm.

Alex’s background is in project management, employer brand strategy, and HR technology; through her experience in these areas, she learned the power of and creativity in strategic thinking and how to incorporate that into her client service-facing role. Inquisitive by nature, she enjoys discovering and working through each of her client’s nuances. Personally, Alex is very passionate about technology and how it can be used to create a more inclusive and accessible world.

In her time at KG, some of the clients Alex has had the pleasure of working with are Major League Baseball, the Milwaukee Brewers, the Chicago Bears, EMC Insurance, IRI, Big Lots, KeHE Distributors, and Pritzker Private Capital.

Prior to KG, Alex spent four years working at CareerBuilder— first as a Brand Strategist and then as a Solutions Project Manager. As a Brand Strategist, she supported the Employment Brand team across client engagements managing the logistical aspects of the work. In both roles, she was able to develop skills in project management, strategy, client impact, and transformation while supporting a variety of clients across industries such as finance, entertainment, and technology.

Outside of KG, Alex volunteers with “iMentor,” a local organization that sets Chicago public high school students up for success through mentorship opportunities with a focus on higher education. Alex is a strong believer in challenging the status quo and how doing so can help reinvent the workplace in pursuit of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

She holds a B.A. in both Public Relations & Advertising and Spanish Language Studies from DePaul University. Outside of work Alex enjoys exploring the neighborhoods of Chicago, cooking, and reading.
