Sarah Black

Sarah is a light-skinned woman with short dark hair. She is looking at something out of the shot and laughing. She is wearing a navy blouse and a grey knit cardigan. She is pictured against a blue-grey background.

As a Communications Consultant with The Kaleidoscope Group, Sarah helps our clients effectively engage their employees in their DEI efforts and tell their DEI story externally.

Her focus is on helping individuals and organizations communicate with their stakeholders in more accessible and inclusive ways, harnessing the potential of effective communication to bring people together and promote dialogue. She has experience in communicating across cultural differences and developing global communication strategies that resonate locally.

Sarah has more than 30 years of experience in communications, having worked in consultancy for major brands, small businesses, and international non-profits across the UK, Ireland, the United States, and in-house for non-profit organizations in Northern Ireland, Norway, and Texas. She is a former director of a multi-award-winning global PR & content agency, where her achievements included leading campaigns addressing racism and sectarianism and promoting reconciliation and community building. She is an expert in crossing and adapting to cultures – ask her about learning enough Norwegian to write a press release for a local non-profit!

Sarah is a Fellow and Accredited Practitioner of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and a former member of its Board and Executive Committee. She is also a Member of the Public Relations & Communications Association. She has held Board positions in education, the arts and the non-profit sector.

Originally from Belfast, Northern Ireland, she has lived in Norway, Texas and England though she currently calls Scotland home.

In a world that is increasingly polarized and cynical about the value and meaning of the phrase ‘DEI’, the work that The Kaleidoscope Group does to bring people together in ways that make them the best possible advocates for each other’s success and well-being is truly transformational.
