Pia Tomasello is a Measurement Specialist on the Assessment Practice Team for The Kaleidoscope Group, a consulting firm dedicated to providing organizations with strategies and solutions for diversity and inclusion. As a Measurement Specialist, Pia conducts end-to-end custom qualitative and quantitative research to support various client engagements.

For years, Pia worked in operations across several industries where she focused on using data to improve processes and maximize efficiency. It was during this time that Pia became interested in the human experience of work and the bigger, messier questions about work that operations could not solve. This motivated her to pursue her master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from George Mason University.

In graduate school Pia was a graduate research assistant working on a mixed methods experiment about emotional states and the results of their evocation. She was also a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Intern for a healthcare company where she researched policies practices, and procedures of DiversityInc’s Top 50 companies in diversity, reviewed hiring practices and provided recommendations to reduce bias, and developed a mentoring program aimed to increase diversity in senior positions.

Just before joining The Kaleidoscope Group, Pia worked for a small consultancy as an Analyst where she was responsible for the development and maintenance of high-stakes knowledge assessments including developing a Situational Judgement Test from scratch.

Pia is currently based out of Virginia.
